Happy Tuesday, We talk a lot about training. But do we truly value it, or have we started taking it for granted? Why is training often overlooked, and when we attend, are we genuinely present and focused? Think about it—when was the last time you attended a training session? Did you show up ready to engage, or were you just going through the motions? At Keller Williams, we offer training at every level—local, regional, international. We have in-house trainings, Zoom trainings, one-on-ones, workshops, and more. But with so many options, are we beginning to tune them out? Are we undervaluing the wealth of knowledge available to us? How do you approach training? Are you selecting the sessions that truly resonate with your goals, or just attending to check a box? Do you show up actively participating, asking questions, taking notes, and genuinely engaging with the material? Or has training become just another item on your to-do list? The right training can have a profound impact on your business and personal growth. But not all training is equal. Have clarity around the events you choose to attend. Who’s the presenter? What’s the focus? How does it align with your current needs? It’s easy to attend without intention, but the real value comes from actively seeking out the sessions that challenge and inspire you. What does training mean to you? When you get that invite, do you feel excited, or is it just another obligation? Are you actively looking for opportunities to grow, or passively waiting for them to come to you? There are countless ways we communicate about training—emails, social media, videos, word of mouth, flyers, podcasts. The question is: Are you paying attention? Are you sifting through the noise to find the events that will truly elevate your business? Training should be a structured part of your goals. Do you have it on your calendar—weekly, monthly, or annually? Or is it something you squeeze in when convenient? Let’s not take training for granted. Let’s embrace it. Repetition isn’t a waste; it’s mastery. Every session offers something new, whether it’s a different presenter, a shift in the market, or just a fresh perspective. Our offices work hard to bring you qualified, informed instruction. But here’s the thing—it’s up to you to show up. Are you fully engaged, or are you dividing your attention between the speaker and your phone? We know multitasking doesn’t work—if you’re splitting your focus, you’re not giving your best to anything. The messages we communicate to our teams are crucial—our culture, our education, our support. People look to us to help them build their businesses, both personally and financially. And yes, sometimes it can feel like training is just another agenda being pushed. But we joined Keller Williams because we believe in being the best in training, education, and culture. In times of uncertainty, with market challenges, training becomes even more important. Some Associates haven’t seen this level of hardship since 2007. While the circumstances may be different, the struggles are real. Can we lead them out? Absolutely. But it starts with how we show up—and which trainings we expose ourselves to. Leaders take ownership. We don’t point fingers. We take action. It’s not about blame—it’s about solutions. Taking ownership builds trust among your team and associates. Ultimately, leadership is about being responsible for everything. So, ask yourself: Are you hitting your profitability, growth, and educational goals? If not, what’s your plan to get there? How does training fit into that plan? Are you leveraging it as a tool for growth, or has it become background noise? We offer so much training because we know it’s crucial. Surrounding yourself with people who have achieved what you’re striving for is key to growth. But how do you show up? Are you attending training because you see its value, or just because you’re told to? And if you’re not finding value, how can you make training a more critical part of your success?
